SF Freeze!
Despite the rain (and all of my "friends" bailing on me) I participated in the first ever SF Freeze this past Saturday.
Basically, we were trying to recreate the now legendary Frozen Grand Central event that the Improv Everywhere kids threw last month in NYC.
The SF version took place on Powell Street (where the trolley car turns around). I'd say about 100 people showed up, and we froze about 5 times over a 15 minute period. Apparently there was some meta-prankster who brought an extra air gun (which signified the start and stop times) and caused a bit of confusion (not cool, bro...).
A pretty fun affair! I'd love to do it again. But next time indoors, because the rain and wind sure made it hard to really freeze.
Here's a video someone shot of one of the freezes:
My favorite quotes of passerbyers included, "Must be Scientologists" and "What is wrong with people! Why can't they just MOVE?!".

definitely cool. i was there and enjoyed it immensely... and it was an air-horn, not an air gun (thank goodness).
I knew that someone would show up and try to "f" with it. Maybe this is an indication that flashmob gatherings shouldn't be posted on big media sites like LaughingSquid
